There are looks that you never forget. In “Mirada del Alma,” Luis Enrique González captures with extraordinary sensitivity the deepest essence of a chestnut horse: that serene, intelligent, and presence-filled gaze that seems to speak to us directly.
The work aims not only to portray an animal. It seeks to convey the soul of the observer. With masterful technique, the artist models every strand of fur, every light reflection on the muzzle, and every detail of the bridle with a delicacy that approaches the sculptural. The background, worked with soft, atmospheric brushstrokes, envelops the horse in a kind of golden dream, creating a sense of intimacy and timelessness.
The horse’s eye becomes the emotional center of the composition. In it concentrates all the strength, nobility, and stillness of this magnificent specimen. It is a gaze that invites you to pause, to connect, to feel. It is not a simple equestrian portrait: it is a silent dialogue between the animal and the viewer.
“Mirada del Alma” is a work of great emotional charge and contained beauty. Ideal for those seeking a piece that not only decorates but also generates presence and emotion in any space. A work that speaks of respect, of a connection with nature, and of that noble beauty that only horses know how to convey.
An exceptional piece for collectors who value sensitive realism, emotional depth, and the power of an image to stay etched in memory.
The work is carefully shipped protected in a transportation tube to ensure its perfect conservation.
Artist Statement — Luis Enrique González
My work is a constant dialogue between light and form, where oil painting becomes a medium to explore the emotional and symbolic depth of reality. I am interested in nature and the human figure not only as visual motifs but as living territories charged with stories, silences, and tensions. Through realism, I seek to reveal what hides in the everyday: fragility, strength, persistence, and beauty that manifest in gestures, in matter, and in the spaces we inhabit.
Chiaroscuro is, for me, a tool of thought. Through contrast, I find the internal structure of each image, the atmosphere that allows color to breathe and become protagonist. I work with meticulous observation, trying to ensure that every brushstroke preserves the sensitivity of the moment and, at the same time, a permanence that transcends the temporality of the represented object.
My pieces sit at a crossroads between academic tradition and a contemporary gaze, where rigorous technique coexists with a personal expressive search. I paint because I find in oil a space of revelation: a way to understand the world and at the same time reinvent it through light, texture, and color.
