In the midst of visual fragmentation and the overlay of digital layers, a presence emerges. The steady gaze and serene expression contrast with the small chromatic interruptions that cross the image, suggesting that, even in an information-saturated environment, there is always something essential that remains intact.
The pixelated elements function as traces of a contemporary language, references to digital systems that shape the way we communicate, present ourselves and are perceived. However, unlike total distortion, these interferences do not erase identity; they merely reveal that all communication carries noise, imperfections and losses.
“Signal” explores the search for authenticity in a reality increasingly mediated by technology. Between the analogue and the digital, the visible and the hidden, the work suggests that the true message is not in the absence of interference, but in the ability to continue to be recognized despite it.
