Vova Titov is an Estonian born artist with a degree in interior design from the prestigious Herzen University in St. Petersburg. His paintings, sculptures and drawings are all one of a kind, hand-crafted and have been sold internationally, with some making their way into the homes of Hollywood directors. His art is represented by the Saatchi Gallery, with regular auctions on Catawiki.
"Mechanics blue" Bluish-gray dominates here not as the color of sky or water, but as the color of cooled metal, precisely calibrated, ready for use. The central structure of ash-blue rectangular forms is assembled like a blueprint for an assembly: ledges, grooves, and projections are all fitted with mechanical precision, though no corner is identical to another. Around this steel core, warm masses of ochre, terracotta, and muted burgundy revolve, creating a thermal tension between the cold mechanism and the organic environment in which it is embedded. The work is signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
