Original advertising poster from the historic Swiss company Dubied, worldwide leader in the production of knitting machines.
The graphic depicts a young knitter at work on a Dubied knitting machine, surrounded by yarns and wool garments. The composition, characterized by a strong color presence in shades of blue, yellow and red, represents an excellent example of industrial advertising communication from the fifties.
The poster bears the slogan:
"La miglior macchina per maglieria"
and the wording:
"Dal 1867"
with reference to the founding year of the company Edouard Dubied & Cie.
Original period print produced by Rizzoli Grafica – Milano.
Poster also preserved in Italian public collections dedicated to the history of advertising.
Conservation status
Good overall condition.
Colors still vivid and well preserved.
Normal original editorial folds present from distribution.
Slight signs of time and use at the margins.
Small marginal tears and light wear compatible with age.
Conservation backings present at the tears.
