About
Idris Khan is a contemporary artist who lives and works between Paris and Cologne, known for her opulent, floral compositions. Her works fuse Baroque pictorial traditions with modern, abstract structures, creating a singular visual language between painting and digital aesthetics. At the center of her oeuvre are fragmented floral arrangements that seem to dissolve and hover within deep, marble-like color fields. Khan investigates themes of impermanence, beauty, and transformation, reinterpreting classical still lifes and translating them into a contemporary context. Her works are characterized by vivid color worlds, fine textures, and a nearly sculptural sense of depth. Today, Idris Khan is regarded as an exciting voice of the new generation, blending traditional art history with modern visual culture.
