Decorative square panel from Europe, dating to circa 1850–1900, made of glass and wood, 40 by 40 cm, in good condition with minor signs of age and stains.
Description from the seller
European Manufacture of the 19th century.
A square embroidered relief panel with Venetian glass microbeads depicting a bouquet of lilies, set in a textile mounting and framed with a border trimmed with gold passementerie.
Circa 1890–1900
Description:
An exceptionally fresh example consisting of a square decorative panel. The work features a sumptuous floral bouquet entirely created by applying matte and translucent Venetian glass microbeads (conteries), masterfully stitched onto a densely woven woolen cloth or velvet background in the refined shade of Bordeaux/oxblood red. The central stamens stand out vividly thanks to ochre- and amber-colored beads, while the lanceolate leaves create a deep color contrast, orchestrated on shades of emerald green, dark green, and metallic reflections.
