Oil paintings on canvas by the Dutch artist Elly Kuijpers (Arnhem 1938- Nijmegen 2016).
She was a graphic artist, painter, draughtsman, lino-cut artist and watercolourist.
Elly Kuijpers pursued her training at the Academy for Visual Arts in Arnhem and the Higher Institute for the Fine Arts in Antwerp.
Elly Kuijpers was affiliated as a teacher at the Vrije Academie in Nijmegen from 1970 to 2000.
Afterwards she continued to guide students from her own studio.
Throughout her life she sold almost exclusively at exhibitions.
Most of her work she always kept and it was released after her death.
She was also asked by the municipality of Nijmegen to record disappearing buildings and streets in the Nijmegen area for the archive and for exhibitions.
Her style is best described as narrative, expressionist and figurative.
This hand-signed work of hers from 1973 is in excellent condition and is offered framed.
