"Ascesa" is the first in a series of works. It consists of a pyramidal prism, three-quarters interrupted by a hollow portion. I consider this work a vindication of the Self over the tribulations of existence, but also an innate longing upward. Toward a metamorphosis of form into pure energy. Matter that becomes spirit. The hollow portion that interrupts the ascent of the form toward the summit is characterized as a set of parts that, when unused, remain imprinted as empty traces of past experiences.
