Nativity scene Giordano (14) - Earthenware, Textile - 14 statuettes - 30 cm

Nativity scene composed of 3 Wise Men, Madonna and Saint Joseph, 1 bagpiper, ox and donkey, 2 sheep, 3 chickens and a pig. The material is terracotta with cloth. The figures are about 30 cm tall except for the Madonna, which measures 22 cm; the indicative weight of a statuette is about 800 g, while the ox and donkey together weigh 1600 grams. The statues are in good condition except for one Wise Man, Balthazar, who is missing some fingers on his hands, and another Wise Man who is missing two fingers, but they are in possession. The statues bear the signature Giordano di Monreale (Sicily), made completely by hand.
