Longwy - Maurice Paul Chevallier (1892-1987) - Dish (2) - Earthenware

Very beautiful set of two decorative enamel plates from Longwy signed by the ceramist Maurice Paul Chevallier (1892-1987).

The lot includes an important circular plate as well as an elegant wavy-edged square plate, all adorned with a rich stylized floral pattern in ruby red, cream, gold and pink tones.

The decoration features magnificent arabesques and gilded highlights typical of productions from the first half of the 20th century.

The plates are in good condition. In perfect condition for the round one and the other is stained on the back with small enamel skips on the decoration.

The red faience glaze is quite rare.

Overall, beautiful decorative pieces.
