Gio Mondelli is a versatile contemporary Italian artist. His painting research has focused mainly on discovering new techniques, styles and trends. After an academic career, his works already capture the essence of Symbolist and Surrealist painting. For a short period he painted more classical and hyperrealistic pieces, but he was not satisfied until he became an Expressionist. Professional art critics appreciate his paintings for having a truly unique perspective on landscape.
Gio Mondelli was born in 1953, in Italy, where he graduated from LABA Libera Accademia di Belle Arti. His works are in private collections in Belgium, Germany, France and the United States.
