Description from the seller
"Astro Crash" by American artist Josh Divine.
This striking sculpture reinterprets one of the most emblematic figures of pop culture and Japanese manga: Astro Boy (Astro the Little Robot).
Through the work Astro Crash, Josh Divine offers a metaphorical and impactful reflection on technology in the digital age. By depicting the famous superhero turned over, the head crushed on the ground following what resembles a "motherboard crash", the artist explores the limits of artificial intelligence and the fragility of technological systems we consider infallible. A work that is at once nostalgic, poetic and deeply rooted in our era.
The model presented here wears its exclusive "Bronze" variation (or Rustic Gold depending on the original editions), characterized by a magnificent textured patina with greenish-bronze and golden reflections, which gives the object a timeless and sculptural aspect, close to a classical foundry bronze.
