Description from the seller
Analog barometer manufactured by G. Lufft Mess- und Regeltechnik in Stuttgart, Germany, a clear leader in mechanical measuring instruments.
It measures the atmospheric air pressure.
The mechanism contains an aneroid (drum) mechanism that measures air pressure without liquid. The screws on the back are used to manually calibrate the instrument to the local base altitude.
The dial indicates what kind of weather is coming.
From "Storm" (very low pressure) to "Very Dry" (very high pressure), with "Changeable" exactly in the middle. You’ll know when you’ll need an umbrella in the future.
This wall-mounted model from Lufft is from the 1950s or 1960s. The design fits perfectly with the Art Deco and Mid-Century Modern interior styles of that period.
The iconic red logo with the gold-colored script lettering at the bottom confirms the authenticity of this blossoming period.
