Who is Pope?
Pope, cofounder of the AMA collective, develops a singular artistic universe driven by a practice of visual arts since childhood, a meticulous eye for detail and careful visual research. Through sculptures, paintings and installations, he is inspired by photography, urban landscapes and everyday scenes, with a sensitive and wondrous gaze, attentive to both simplicity and the complexity of the world around him.
Pope primarily draws inspiration from the world around him but also from currents of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name just a few.
Whether as a gift, a keepsake, or part of your personal contemporary art collection, you will easily find your favorite piece thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, Pope pursues his passion for urban art through street art (streetart) and pop art (popart) – in limited or unlimited editions – addressing a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, drug abuse, luxury and haute couture brands, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, and products of the agrifood and fashion industries (sport, sneakers...).
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, Pope likes to mischievously reinterpret labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many others.
Dear bidders, our collective makes every effort to ensure that all information necessary to appreciate the lot is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description and photos... After the sale, no unjustified claims will be considered. Thank you for your understanding.
