Description from the seller
This piece is a tea room flower vase made by the renowned Mino ware master, Keisuke Fujiwara, and is a representative work of the artist.
The vase is a gourd-shaped flower vase with two handles, specifically designed for tea rooms. It is entirely covered in Fujiwara's signature matte light gray-blue glaze, with fine iron-like speckles naturally appearing after firing. The lower half of the vase features hand-painted fern and floral patterns using a white clay carving technique. The cool-toned blue glaze paired with soft white flowers creates an elegant and understated wabi-sabi aesthetic, perfectly suited for Japanese tea room décor.
