Religious art object in deep ruby red transparent resin - Resin - 1970-1980

A particularly atmospheric religious art object from the 1970s, executed in deep ruby-red transparent resin. In the solid block is a three-dimensional depiction of the Madonna with Child, creating a fascinating sense of depth. Depending on the light, the figure seems almost to float in the red material.

The object combines religious symbolism with the decorative styling typical of the 1960s-1970s, when cast art resins and acrylics were popular for both art objects and devotional items. Transparent red variants with embedded figures were often produced as decorative religious sculptures and souvenirs.

The Madonna wears a crown and holds the Child Jesus in her arms. The special casting technique creates an almost holographic appearance. A striking collectible for enthusiasts of religious art, vintage design, retro interior decoration, and plastic sculptures.

Good vintage condition with normal signs of use appropriate for its age. On one corner there is a small damage/chip (see detail photos).
