The painting depicts a contemporary female portrait in which the expressive intensity of the face is joined by a free, tactile painting gesture. The figure, captured in a moment of abandonment and introspection, emerges from a dark background crossed by drips and golden accents that amplify depth and dynamism. The warm flesh tones, contrasted with deep blacks and luminous brushstrokes, create a strong visual impact, while the golden reflections introduce a vibrant and almost emotional light. The balance between realism and abstraction recalls a modern painterly language capable of evoking sensuality, elegance, and inner strength. In person, one can more intensely appreciate the richness of the chromatic stratifications and the materiality of the oil surface, elements that are only partially perceptible in a photograph.
