Art Deco bracelet in 935 silver, total weight 27.8 g, set with marcasites and purple stones (amethysts), extralarge XL bracelet size 19.5–20 cm, in good condition with signs of wear, no laboratory report, unbranded.
Description from the seller
Stamped 935 for high-grade silver. Finely worked Art Deco bracelet with marcasites and violet stones, probably amethysts. Germany or Austria, circa 1925–1935.
Art Deco bracelet made of 935 silver with marcasites and amethysts, circa 1925–1935
An extraordinarily elegant piece of jewelry from the heyday of Art Deco, powerfully embodying the distinctive blend of geometric clarity, craftsmanship, and timeless elegance.
The finely crafted bracelet is made from highly alloyed 935 silver and richly set with sparkling marcasites. At the center is a striking diamond-shaped cartouche featuring an oval faceted violet stone, flanked by additional square-cut amethysts that follow harmoniously along the delicate links. The intricate openwork design gives the piece remarkable lightness and depth.
Particularly appealing is the interplay between the cool, silvery marcasites and the luminous violet stones. The design follows the typical Art Deco ideals: symmetry, geometry, and an elegant, almost architectural form language. The finely oxidized surface effectively highlights the ornamental details and gives the bracelet its distinctive charisma.
The existing 935 silver hallmark confirms high-quality workmanship and suggests origin in the German-speaking region, probably Germany or Austria, dating from the 1920s to early 1930s.
An extremely decorative collectible piece and also wearable historical jewelry that preserves the glamorous elegance of the Interwar period to the present day.
