Box of matches - Stone - Nepal - second half 20th century

Antique brass matchbox holder with a pierced and chased decorative pattern, adorned with a setting of natural turquoise stones irregularly cut, in an Orientalist taste. The center is accented by an imitation of coral in red glass paste.

The stones have the characteristic look of old hand-cut turquoise, with slightly irregular shapes and signs of wear compatible with age and use. Beautiful antique patina of the brass preserved.

Dimensions: about 5.5 × 3.8 cm.
Height: about 2 cm.

Condition: good overall condition with signs of wear and age. Some turquoises show surface wear and slight irregularities. Antique patina not cleaned.
