Pixa presents Inverted Presence, a hand-signed original acrylic on canvas portrait in expressionist style, measuring 145 cm high by 90 cm wide, created in 2026 in Germany and sold direct from the artist in excellent condition with dominant pink, red, black and white tones.
Description from the seller
Inverted Presence challenges the viewer's perception through an upside-down portrait that oscillates between figure and abstraction. Removed from its conventional orientation, the face becomes unstable, transforming into a field of emotional traces, fragmented memories, and instinctive gestures.
Built with energetic layers of acrylic paint, spontaneous brushwork, and expressive drippings, the composition embraces accident and transformation. The dominant reds generate a powerful emotional charge, while the black marks carve out a haunting presence that seems to emerge and dissolve simultaneously.
The inversion is not merely a visual device; it invites a different way of seeing. Familiar features lose their certainty, allowing new forms, associations, and narratives to appear. The work explores themes of identity, perception, and the fragile boundary between recognition and abstraction.
A striking contemporary painting that combines the raw energy of action painting with the psychological depth of figurative expressionism.
