This work is part of The Artphabet, an artistic project developed by digital artist Cess, in which each letter of the alphabet pays tribute to key figures in modern art and visual culture.

In this piece, the letter N is transformed into a tribute to Jackson Pollock, reinterpreting his revolutionary dripping technique and his radical approach to painting as action. Typography becomes a living canvas where gesture, chance, and energy are the true protagonists.

The surface of the letter is covered with a complex network of splashes, strokes and color layers that evoke Pollock’s characteristic visual language. Vibrant tones —yellows, reds, blues and blacks— intertwine in a chaotic yet surprisingly balanced composition, generating a sense of continuous movement and dynamic tension.

The piece is presented on an easel, reinforcing the direct connection with the painting process and placing the work at the boundary between painting and sculpture. This element introduces a performative dimension, alluding to the physical act of creation that defined the artist’s practice.

The three-dimensionality offers a new contemporary reading, translating gestural painting into the digital space, where the painting’s matter gains volume, texture, and physical presence. The result is a work that captures the intensity of the artistic gesture and transforms it into an object.

The work has been created through a completely digital 3D process (CGI), modeled in an artisanal way with particular attention to layer superposition, texture, and color interaction, achieving a rich, expressive, and highly dynamic aesthetic.
