Description from the seller
Z for Munch — The Artphabet
Edition 2/10 — 60 x 60 cm
This work is part of The Artphabet, an artistic project by digital artist Cess in which each letter of the alphabet pays homage to great figures in art history.
The piece interprets the letter Z through the emotional and expressionist universe of Edvard Munch, directly evoking the existential anguish and psychological intensity present in his most iconic work, The Scream. The letter transforms into an organic, almost human figure, twisted upon itself, where the typographic stroke blends with a body under tension.
The face, with an open and disturbing expression, conveys a sense of anxiety and vulnerability, while the curved shape of the Z reinforces the idea of movement, deformation and emotional imbalance. The dark palette, contrasted with warm tones in the face, heightens the drama and symbolic charge of the piece.
The work succeeds in translating into three-dimensional language the essence of expressionism: not to represent reality, but to amplify emotion. The letter ceases to be a sign and becomes a figure that embodies fear, introspection and human fragility.
Completely made in 3D (CGI), the piece has been modeled with a sculptural approach, where every curve and gesture contributes to reinforcing its narrative and emotional character.
The Artphabet has been disseminated internationally in media specializing in art, design and creativity, establishing itself as a notable series within contemporary digital art.
Cess is an artist specialized in CGI, digital art and artificial intelligence, with collaborations with brands such as Apple, Google, Prada, Vogue and MTV.
The work is presented in high-quality Giclée print on poly/cotton canvas, guaranteeing faithful reproduction of color, volumes and nuances of the original digital.
