A true portraitist, he brings realism into the street but not just any realism, a realism that cries out with truth, faces marked by deep gazes. On a wall, a mailbox, an electrical cabinet, he first focused on representing what people do not want to see: a homeless person, a gay couple kissing… so many overlooked, pariahs or anonymous people.
