Description from the seller
Nepalese Tibetan Handmade Copper Singing Bowl
Material and Shape: The entire bowl is hand-forged from copper, with a rounded, low-bellied shape. The rim is wide and thick, and the walls are of uniform thickness. The surface has a vintage, aged dark brown copper base, complemented by hand-painted gilded patterns, giving it a warm and soft metallic luster.
At the center is a Dharma wheel, surrounded by six seated Buddha reliefs. The figures, flowers, and foliage are clearly defined and three-dimensional, showcasing solid craftsmanship. A magnified view reveals the posture of each Buddha and the surrounding auspicious patterns, conveying a strong religious meaning. The reliefs are hand-chiseled, resulting in a strong three-dimensional effect.
The bottom is flat, with the sacred Tibetan Om symbol (OM) engraved in the center. It is surrounded by gilded lotus petals and scrolling foliage patterns. OM is the root mantra of Sanskrit, representing the sound of the universe's origin and the core symbol of the singing bowl's sound therapy. Hand-stitched patterns are visible on the bottom, showing traces of traditional bowl-making techniques and chiseling.
Dimensions: Length 16 cm, Width 16 cm, Height 7 cm, Weight 646 grams
