Description from the seller

Original work on a panel by Carola Castro delivered perfectly framed.

This is the second piece, Homenaje a Berlín 1909-1933.
I am passionate about that use of violent colors and energetic brushstrokes to prioritize the expression of subjective emotions and existential anguish over the faithful representation of nature.

They used aggressive brushstrokes and very vivid colors to capture the chaos, fear and uncertainty of that era.

Impossible to let it slip away for my work!!

I strive to move within the act of reinventing Cubism, giving it a contemporary air.
I regularly access parameters I consider recurrent, such as the constant assimilation of images from the past, playing with the language of others, focusing on old and modern painters.
I feel the sense of a constant dive into the interior of history.

My study and research of the Cubist movement, especially the entire extensive trajectory of Picasso, takes me to unknown territories.

In each painting I try to revisit the problems and solutions that Picasso posed with Cubism.
Cubism, for me, is a very important artistic movement within the history of art.
