Description: "Floating Worlds" evokes a deep sense of suspension, lightness, and dreamlike immersion. The composition is dominated by a vibrant blue palette that envelops the subjects entirely, creating a fluid environment that erases traditional spatial references. The bodies do not sink, but inhabit the blue, moving between the tangibility of the flesh and the immateriality of an inner space, where the boundaries between the self and the surrounding environment become deliciously blurred.
Barbara Bartolomei is a professional painter and teacher trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. Her artistic research moves in a balance between the mastery of traditional Renaissance techniques developed at the Sacred Art School in Florence and a conceptual inquiry into visual perception and the philosophy of the image. Through a figurative language, her works explore the subtle boundary between tangible reality and the inner dimension.!!!!
