Description from the seller
The series “Utopian Architectures” builds a universe of impossible architectures where geometry ceases to be solely structure and becomes visual thought. Through arches, planes, columns, and floating volumes, the compositions propose spaces that seem to inhabit an intermediate territory between model, memory, and abstraction. Each element maintains a delicate balance between stability and tension, as if the shapes existed suspended in a moment prior to movement or collapse.
The use of color plays a fundamental role within the series. The intensely saturated tones — electric pinks, deep blues, solar yellows, and artificial greens — transform geometry into an emotional experience before a rational one. The light, clean and precise, creates elongated shadows that extend the structures beyond the pictorial plane itself, cultivating a sense of suspended time and a metaphysical space that recalls both certain Bauhaus and Constructivist ideas and Giorgio De Chirico’s silent atmosphere.
More than representing real buildings, these works function as mental constructions. They are architectures without practical purpose, conceived from intuition and contemplation, where emptiness acquires as much importance as matter. In them, the spectator does not find a habitable place in physical terms, but a symbolic space to project perception, balance, and inner experience. The series thus raises a reflection on the relationship between order and emotion, between geometric rationality and poetic sensitivity, placing abstraction as a way to imagine new possibilities of space and thought.
About MUMA:
MUMA is an artistic duo formed by a Generalist 3D and Designer and an Art Historian, both trained at Universidad CEU San Pablo in Madrid. Their artistic practice focuses on the plastic arts, with particular interest in color, movement, and the dynamism of forms, as well as in variations of the environment. Their work is designed to integrate into space and establish a direct dialogue with routine and human experience, exploring a vital vision linked to the ideals of Impressionism, such as the relationship with nature, color, and changing environments. MUMA is connected to Madrid’s professional world of digital and plastic arts, with participation in competitions.
About preparation, packing, and shipping of the work:
The work is hand-signed by the artistic duo and comes with a certificate of authenticity also signed by them. The canvas, rolled, is carefully packed in a sturdy cardboard tube and will be sent within three business days after purchase confirmation. The estimated delivery time will depend on the destination and the chosen shipping company.
