MUMA presents Arquitecturas Utópicas 14 (XL), a 2026 original abstract acrylic painting in multicolor (orange, blue, yellow, red) on a 100 by 80 cm canvas, signed by hand, weighing 600 g and produced in Spain, depicting nature with a geometric, utopian architecture theme and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the duo.
Description from the seller
The series “Utopian Architectures” builds a universe of impossible architectures where geometry stops being merely structure to become visual thought. Through arches, planes, columns, and floating volumes, the compositions propose spaces that seem to inhabit a territory between model, memory, and abstraction. Each element maintains a delicate balance between stability and tension, as if the forms existed suspended in a moment prior to movement or collapse.
The use of color plays a fundamental role within the series. The intensely saturated tones —electric pinks, deep blues, solar yellows, and artificial greens— transform geometry into an emotional experience before a rational one. The light, clean and precise, casts elongated shadows that extend the structures beyond the painting plane itself, creating a sense of time suspended and a metaphysical space that recalls both certain Bauhaus and constructivist ideas and Giorgio de Chirico’s silent atmosphere.
More than representing real buildings, these works function as mental constructions. They are architectures without practical function, conceived from intuition and contemplation, where emptiness gains as much importance as matter. In them, the viewer does not find a habitable place in physical terms, but a symbolic space to project perception, balance, and inner experience. The series thus raises a reflection on the relationship between order and emotion, between geometric rationality and poetic sensibility, situating abstraction as a way of imagining new possibilities of space and thought.
About MUMA:
MUMA is an artistic duo formed by a Generalist 3D and a Designer and an Art Historian, all trained at CEU San Pablo University in Madrid. Their artistic practice focuses on plastic arts, with special interest in color, movement, and the dynamism of forms, as well as variations in the environment. Their work is conceived to integrate into space and establish a direct dialogue with routine and human experience, exploring a vital vision linked to Impressionist ideals, such as the relationship with nature, color, and changing environments. MUMA is connected to the professional world of digital and plastic arts in Madrid, with participation in competitions.
About preparation, packaging, and shipping of the artwork:
