PIXA - WTF?! – Crawling Through the Noise

This expressive contemporary painting combines graffiti-inspired imagery with raw gestural marks and layered shades of grey contrasted by striking fluorescent yellow accents. Étienne Pixa is a French-German artist based in Berlin. Trained in graphic arts (drawing, advertising, and photography) and active in professional design since the early 2000s, he has developed a multidisciplinary practice informed by painting, photography, and graphic design. Working between abstraction and figuration, his paintings are characterized by expressive gestures, layered surfaces, and a strong sense of visual rhythm.
