Traditional Arab Khanjar, or jambiya dagger, with a curved steel blade and an intricately decorated sheath.

The dagger possesses the characteristic form of traditional bladed weapons of the Arabian Peninsula and is likely from Oman or Yemen. The sheath is adorned with richly ornamented metal appliqués and features a decorative red velvet trim. The handle shows the typical shape for this dagger type and is embellished with decorative metal rosettes.

The blade is double-edged and shows age-related signs of use. The sheath has a leather-covered wooden core with finely executed metal fittings. The decorative design makes this piece an attractive collectible of Oriental weaponry and ethnographic art.
