Description from the seller
The work features two young women but is part of studies on the interaction of body weight and new geographies of borders, hence also of complex perceptions.
The main focus is always the gaze and the naturalness of a body, not perfect according to conventional aesthetic standards, not exposed to pleasure, but bearing witness, itself, to the entire message, which communicates confidence and dignity, going beyond mere observation.
The piece has a 4.5 cm high frame and may not need a frame.
With the work, the certificate of authenticity of the original piece will also be shipped.
Jara Marzulli's works are part of private collections in many parts of the world, public and museum collections such as in Athens, in Catania at MacS, in the Gaeta Pinacotheca and at the Vittoriale degli Italiani in Gardone Riviera and in Cadiz, Spain. She also collaborates with "The Guide artists", a physical and online store of the finest figurative art worldwide.

Jara Marzulli
was born in Bari and graduated from the Bari Art High School and subsequently from the Academy of Fine Arts of Bari with the highest marks. Since 1998 she has participated in exhibitions and competitions, quickly receiving recognitions, prizes and important selections.
Her figurative realist painting style became immediately recognizable and from 2004 international experiences began through fairs, biennials and important exhibitions.
Her art grows and speaks of a feeling that is at once ecstatic and carnal, made even more incisive and touching by the technical perfection that distinguishes the artist. A lucid and wrenching expressive quality, an indefinable purity that dresses in painting, a constant play of disorientations, of role reversals between the artist who paints and the depicted subject.
Numerous are the prestigious Biennials and art exhibitions where she has shown in Italy and abroad, such as in Turkey, at Art Taipei fair, Taiwan, China at Red Elation gallery, Hong Kong, at the MEAM Museum in Barcelona, Dublin, at the Maguncia Museum, Buenos Aires in Argentina and London.
Jara Marzulli's figures have intense, direct, frontal gazes. They have the dignity of subjects ready to respond with great immediacy. The characters that almost fill the canvas space manage to visually represent men, women, girls and boys who seem to recognize the observer as a stranger, sustain their gaze, reject him, and distance themselves to defend the silence of their precious inner world.
