Description from the seller
This spectacular figurative work transports us to the golden age of aviation. Bathed in the golden light of late afternoon, the scene features an elegant couple leaning against a majestic propeller plane with a silver, gleaming fuselage. The man, wearing a classic leather aviator jacket, and the woman, in a delicate summer floral-patterned dress, fix the horizon together with an expression of calm and romance. Technical mastery shines through in the treatment of the metallic reflections on the aircraft’s body, acting like a distorting mirror that captures the surrounding environment. The long shadows on the tarmac reinforce the cinematic dimension of this composition, which celebrates the spirit of adventure, post-war nostalgia, and the timeless aesthetics of Americana.
