Mirror of the Fall - Hand signed is a 40 × 40 cm limited edition Giclée print by Le Yack, signed by the artist, produced in France, with a certificate of authenticity and a denomination of 20 numbered copies sold direct from the artist.
Description from the seller
This work draws on mythological and spiritual imagination to revisit the figure of the angel in a scene of great dramatic intensity. Kneeling at the edge of a dark basin, an winged character contemplates his reflection, which reveals an unsettling demonic presence. The contrast between the grace of the body, the deep obscurity of the setting, and the symbolic violence of the reflection creates a powerful image of the duality of the soul.
The warm palette, dominated by browns, ochers, and deep blacks, gives the whole piece an almost Caravaggian dimension. The light shapes the body with precision and heightens the emotional charge of the scene. The work asks questions about downfall, temptation, inner truth, and the fragile boundary between purity and corruption.
At once classical in its inspiration and resolutely contemporary in its reading, this creation speaks to collectors sensitive to symbolic works, mythological references, and compositions charged with mystery.
