Dame met vredesduif (1951) is a signed original mixed-media portrait by Belgian artist Lode Sebregts in Expressionist style, 65 × 50 cm.
Description from the seller
Lode Sebregts is an Antwerp painter and poster designer who focuses on portraits, landscapes and still lifes.
He makes his debut under the influence of Art Deco and modernism but soon evolves into an impressionist/expressionist style. That is especially noticeable in the loose brushwork he uses in his landscapes. After World War II he witnesses a new artistic liberation and he himself also experiments more in his works.
Sebregts was a teacher at SISA and at Studio Herman Teirlinck.
Works by his hand are among others in the KMSKA, the Museum Plantin Moretus and the Letterenhuis
Kunstenaar: Lode Sebregts - gesigneerd

Datering: 1951
Afmetingen: 65x50cm
