POCKET WATCH LEPINE IN SILVER WITH CYLINDER ESCAPEMENT, c. 1900-1910
History and Context
Piece from the Belle Époque with a Swiss movement produced by Ebauches Bettlach (Eduard Kummer), identifiable by the balance stamp with the initials "E.I.". It incorporates a cylinder escapement, a key technology in the 19th century to achieve flat calibers. The time-setting by side pusher places the piece in the technical transition toward the modern stem.
