Description from the seller
Title: Fragmented Face #58
Series: The 1000 Faces
Technique: Acrylic on canvas
This work presents a dazzling and poetic interpretation of the neocubist portrait, marked by a deep conceptual and formal duality. The composition features a female face divided vertically by a fine central black line, where each half proposes a contrasting chromatic and symbolic identity. The left hemisphere stands out with a mane and skin in light blue and cerulean tones, but the most fascinating element is the integration of an exotic bird in profile, richly ornate in blue, orange, and yellow hues, that fully masks the eye on that side. In contrast, the right hemisphere humanizes the piece by showing skin in a soft pink tone, a almond-shaped eye opened with a blue eyelid, and a vibrant mane in blazing orange. The lips, in an intense carmine red, act as the unifying axis of both halves. The neck and torso prolong this geometric fragmentation by intertwining blocks of cobalt blue, pink, and orange, sharply cut against a background of architectural structure in polychrome fields of cream, terracotta, brown, and orange.
The result is a sophisticated painting that blends the classical portrait with geometric abstraction and synthetic cubism. The vibrant color palette and the sharp hard-edge lines create a visually powerful piece. It is an ideal work for collectors seeking a fusion between the figurative and modern abstraction, adding a distinguished and avant-garde presence to any space.
The canvas is carefully rolled and securely packed in a sturdy tube for shipping.

Art Series:
The 1000 Faces is an artistic project conceived as an evolving collection, designed both from its conceptual value and its projection in the contemporary art market. The series proposes the creation of 1000 original works, each unique, numbered, and linked to a single recognizable visual language, which turns the whole into a solid and collectible body of work.
My artistic practice centers on reinterpretation of the portrait through a geometric and contemporary approach. Each face is built through color planes, defined lines, and fragmented structures that generate balanced yet dynamically altered compositions. This tension between order and rupture gives each piece its own identity while maintaining coherence within the series.
The use of color is intentional and strategic: contrasts between warm and cool tones that provide visual strength and immediate appeal, qualities especially valued on platforms like Catawiki, where first impressions matter. The clean, modern, and highly recognizable compositions facilitate their integration into different spaces, both private and professional.
From a collection perspective, The 1000 Faces is presented as a progressive acquisition opportunity. Each piece is numbered (for example, #001 / 1000), reinforcing its limited character within the global project and adding long-term value. As the series grows, so does its relevance and coherence as a whole, increasing interest for collectors.
This project offers not only visually impactful pieces but also a clear and consistent narrative: an exploration of contemporary identity through repetition, variation, and formal synthesis. In the context of online sales, these qualities allow positioning each work not only as a decorative piece but as part of an artistic project with vision, continuity, and potential for value appreciation.
The 1000 Faces is conceived to be collected, evolved, and consolidated as a recognizable series within accessible contemporary art.
