Pair of Large Japanese Plates from the Era – Early 1900s (Taisho/Meiji)
Description:
For sale a rare pair of parade plates in original Japanese artistic ceramic, dating to the early 20th century (early 1900s). These pieces represent an excellent testimony of Japanese craftsmanship destined for the era's most refined collections.
Main Features:
• Origin: Authentic Japanese manufacture, confirmed by the impressed seal mark.
• Decoration: Traditional Japanese landscape rendered in cobalt blue under glaze, with pagodas, mountains and ancient pines.
• Relief Work: The scene is not only painted, but features a relief texture that gives tridimensionality and prestige to the artefact.
• Craquelé Finish: Surface entirely characterized by dense natural crazing, typical of Oriental ceramics of the period.
• Authenticity Seal: On the back is present the square seal mark impressed dry with original Japanese characters.

• Diameter: 28 cm (large display size).
• Rim: Perimetral decoration with a fan geometric motif (Seigaiha style).
• Condition: Excellent vintage condition; the plates are already equipped with original metal spring supports for wall mounting.
