Description from the seller
Young artist exhibited at the Centre Pompidou in September 2025 on the occasion of the day dedicated to French Young Creation, Laurent Anastay-Ponsolle is a French expressionist artist born in 1982. Drawing, painting, collage, performance are the languages he explores with strength and spontaneity.
This work is the fruit of a performance with contemporary dancer Mathilde Plateau. It is a painting made with acrylic and charcoal. Between automatic writing and choreographed gesture, the artist paints and draws in movement, letting himself be carried by the dancer’s movements.

The whole is a very “raw,” “raw-edged,” and “sensitive” whole, qualities inherent to German figurative Expressionism, a current in which the artist fully aligns. It is also a tribute to Yves Saint Laurent’s creations, a designer whom the artist deeply admires.
It is signed on the back, in the artist’s own handwriting.
Exceptionally, the work will be shipped without its stretcher, rolled and protected in a carton with bubble wrap. Fast and careful shipping. It is also accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist, which will be sent by email.
Figurative Expressionism, contemporary dance, hands, night, desire, love, hands, artistic nudity, Schiele, Munch, Kirchner, Yves Saint Laurent.
