Description from the seller

Greek ceramic amphora – handmade reproduction, Corinthian/Classical period, with certificate/label, Piraeus Greece

Decorative handmade ceramic amphora from Greece, made as a reproduction of a piece from the Corinthian or Classical period. The vase is painted in an antiqued style and shows a figural scene with a warrior/mythological motif.

The object still bears the original certificate/manufacturer label. It states the vase as Ceramic Reproduction of the Corinthian and Classic Period (450–550 BC) in Greece. On the inside of the label is named the manufacturer or workshop Kostas Vassilacopoulos, Piraeus, Greece. According to the label, the item was handmade.

The surface deliberately features antiqued wear, craquelure look and patinated areas, consistent with the reproduction style. Age and signs of use are present and documented in the photos. The base is labeled.

Condition:
Good decorative condition with visible aging/patina effects, craquelé, abrasion and minor signs of wear. No guarantee of age or historical authenticity – offered as a decorative reproduction with the existing label.
