Description from the seller
Elegant Cigarette Box and Glass Ashtray Holder "Kristall Kisle" with Lid Ashtray – 1950s/1970s
Refined rectangular desktop case in fine heavy lead crystal, all hand-cut. This object blends high craftsmanship with a multifunctional design typical of mid-20th century: the lid is cleverly designed to also serve as an ashtray and cigarette holder thanks to two elegant angular metal supports.
A collectible piece perfect for enriching a desk, an antique living room, or for smoking memorabilia enthusiasts.
Technical Sheet and Craftsmanship
Material: Lead crystal with 24% PbO, characterized by high light refraction, substantial weight, and the clear, lasting sound of high-quality crystals.
Factory Brand: The original label "Kristall Kisle" (red italic) is still intact on the bottom, with a round gold seal reading "Hand Cut - 24% PbO - Lead Cristal," certifying authenticity and hand polishing.
Dimensions: 12 x 9.5 cm — Height (including lid): 7 cm.
Details of Polishing: • The Lower Body: Walls and bottom decorated with dense geometric herringbone engraving and wide lanceolate leaf motifs.
The Lid: Features a refined central swirl engraving, framed by a textured lattice border. On the two opposite corners are applied two cigarette holder supports in finely repoussé metal with intricate fretwork motifs in a classical style.
The piece is in excellent vintage condition. The crystal is intact, free from chipping, cracks, inclusions, or cloudiness, and retains exceptional brilliance and clarity.
