Cristina Bizzotto - Carpe Koi

Hi! I am an artist with training in Technologies for Conservation and Restoration, obtained in Venice in 2017. My passion for art began in childhood, when I started painting as a self-taught artist, being fascinated by the colors and the emotions that art can convey.

In 2013 I decided to deepen my skills by attending a painting studio in Padua, called AeT Design, under the guidance of Alessandra Andreose. Here I perfected the technique of oil painting and learned the art of glazing, enriching my style and technique.

This painting was created in 2015 by me and represents a series of koi fish in various colors on a black background.
Before applying color I spread with a spatula a layer of acrylic gesso on the canvas (100% cotton canvas), in order to create more 'movement' in the painting.
The black background is not accidental, but I wanted the unique colors of these fish to stand out.
The edges of the canvas are also painted so that the work can be hung without a frame. I used professional oil paints (Maimeri and Schmincke).

The painting is signed in the lower left and will be delivered with its own Certificate of Authenticity.

The painting will be carefully packed inside pluriball and a custom-made carton to ensure safe shipping.
