My works arise from an intuitive process in which color, form and space condense into a unique visual language. The starting points are sketches, architectural structures or individual color fields. As the painting progresses, compositions are overlaid, altered and renegotiated until a balance between clarity and openness emerges.
Architecture plays a central role. Buildings, façades and geometric forms become carriers of inner states, memories and atmospheres. The pictures move between figuration and abstraction and open spaces for personal associations.
“QUIET” is part of this ongoing series of works.
