Rare edition from the early twenties of the 20th century of La Nave, a tragedy by Gabriele D’Annunzio published in Milan by Fratelli Treves in 1908.
The copy belongs to the “Eighteenth Thousand,” as indicated on the editorial title page. Volume circa 19 × 24 cm, preserved in an elegant contemporary half-movine binding with polychrome marbled boards in green and gray tones and the title handwritten on the spine.
Interior complete and in excellent overall condition: fresh, clean paper, pages well preserved, with no evident widespread foxing or tears detectable by visual inspection. The typographic decorations and the original Treves-era ornaments are preserved, including the two-color illustrated title page.
The binding appears solid and functional, with only the usual light traces of time and use compatible with the volume’s age. A pleasant specimen from a collectors’ perspective, particularly interesting for the editorial quality and for the presence of the uncommon period binding.
