SHARD presents Sacred Glass (Handmade), a mixed-media work on glass, 60 by 60 cm, unsigned, original edition from 2020+, produced in Italy, depicting a religious theme in black and white, and sold directly from the artist with a certificate of authenticity; the piece is unframed.
Description from the seller
SHARD artworks originate from a rare creative process: the subject is drawn by breaking the glass with hammer blows. The hammer becomes the pencil, and the cracks are the stroke that defines the image. The result is an artwork impossible to replicate; the cracks are natural and unpredictable, creating figures and portraits with details that exist only once. The interaction between light and cracks generates dynamic reflections and unexpected depth, transforming the surface into a luminous and sparkling architecture.
Shard shows affinities with artists such as Simon Berger and Niall Shukla, while maintaining a personal and immediately recognizable style. SHARD artworks are ideal pieces for collectors seeking a truly unique work.
The artwork is sold unframed, it is not signed directly on the glass, but it is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity with the relevant data related to the piece.
