Description from the seller

A stunning and highly intricate hand-crafted porcelain bonbonniere from the world-renowned Herend porcelain manufactory in Hungary.

This beautiful, heart-shaped lidded box (Shape No. 6200) is a wonderful example of Herend's mastery of reticulated (openwork) porcelain. The walls and lid feature delicate, pierced geometric and floral cut-outs, heavily and meticulously outlined in gleaming 24k gold. The lid is crowned with a superb, three-dimensional applied handle modeled as a curved branch adorned with delicate sculpted rosebuds and leaves.

The contrast between the pristine white porcelain and the lavish gold gilding makes this a highly elegant display piece, perfect for a dressing table, vanity, or display cabinet.

Base Marks:
The underside bears the official Herend blue shield mark with crossed swords:

HEREND.HUNGARY

HANDPAINTED

Model/Pattern numbers: 6200 / COR

Condition Report
This piece is in excellent vintage condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The highly fragile applied flowers and leaves on the finial appear perfectly intact. The gold gilding remains very bright, rich, and unrubbed.
