Description
Rubywood is a powerful work from the Birch Reflections series and depicts a birch forest in an extraordinary color world filled with light, depth, and atmosphere.
Between the bright birch trunks, an intense background glows in ruby, purple, and carmine red tones. The warm light seems to radiate from the forest’s interior, lending the landscape an almost dreamlike presence. Golden leaves drift between the trunks, creating luminous accents that form a harmonious yet powerful unity with the red color palette.
The composition moves between natural depiction and abstract interpretation. The characteristic birches stand out clearly, while light, color, and atmosphere become the true focus of the work. Depending on the viewing angle and lighting, the red and golden color layers unfold new nuances, giving the painting a vibrant aura.
The painting is ideal for modern living spaces, elegant reception areas, or stylish interiors where warm colors, light, and a striking atmosphere are valued.
About the artist
Alla Faber lives and works in Hamburg. For several years she has devoted herself to abstract and contemporary painting, creating large-format works that balance stillness and movement, structure and lightness.
Her preferred materials are acrylic paints, texture gels, and metal foils—combined in fine, often multi-layered compositions. Through delicate transitions, harmonious color gradients, and light reflections, her works create spaces that do not dominate but fill them with quiet presence.
Her artistic work follows the concept “So klingt die Stille” — a painterly exploration of the moment between sound and silence. In this silence, for Faber, there is no emptiness, but a living force: the breathing of light, the whisper of colors, the soft pulsation of the room.
Her works have been shown in several exhibitions in Hamburg and today are in private collections in Europe, the USA, and the United Arab Emirates.
