Tipetto Venetian glass chalice hand blown in Murano, with an elaborately decorated stem featuring a central rose, green leaves and gold leaf inclusions, assembled from three parts, 31 cm high and 12 cm in diameter, dating to 1960–1970, in very good condition with light signs of wear.
Description from the seller
Calice - Tipetto veneziano
an elegant example of Murano blown glass art, characterized by a stem worked with flower decorations and gilded details.
The Tipetto is the traditional, highly prized goblet of Murano's artistic glassmaking. Historically, it was used as a true status symbol during the banquets of European aristocracy.
Elaborate stem, the stem richly decorated with heat-applied elements portraying a central rose, green leaves and knots embellished with gold leaf inclusions.
Three distinct parts: it is made by hot-wond welding three separately blown components (the funnel-shaped drinking bowl, the decorative stem, and the circular supporting base).
Extremely lightweight: Despite the visual complexity, the mouth-blown artisanal glass feels incredibly light to the touch.
Fine workmanship, excellent condition - from my own collection built up over the last thirty years of works from the best Murano glassmakers such as Venini, Barovier & Toso, Salviati, Archimede Seguso, Carlo Moretti, Seguso V.A., V. Nason & C., etc.
We guarantee packaging appropriate to the object's artistic and economic value, prepared within the day following payment.
