Description from the seller
Goblet - Venetian Tipetto
An elegant example of Murano glass art, blown glass, characterized by a stem worked with floral decorations and gilded details. Two leaves with missing portions but that do not alter the harmony and beauty.
The Tipetto is the traditional high-end goblet of Murano's artistic glassworks. Historically it was used as a true status symbol during the banquets of European aristocracy.
The Cup and the Base: The upper body has a flared trumpet silhouette in vivid amber, fading toward transparency near the stem.
The circular base echoes the same warm amber tone, ensuring visual and structural stability.
The Decorative Stem: The true sculptural centerpiece of the piece, the stem unites elements in transparent ribbed glass with multicolored applications. Two decorative knots with inclusions enclosed in dark spirals and golden filaments stand out (aventurine technique or decoration in the "submerged" style with gold leaf).
Applied Floral Elements: In the center of the stem lies a refined naturalistic composition modeled entirely by hand (hot-work or warm application), formed by glossy green leaves and small white opalescent flowers that wrap around the shaft.
Extreme lightness: Despite the visual complexity, the mouth-blown artisanal glass makes the object incredibly light to the touch.
Excellent craftsmanship, excellent condition - from the owner's collection built up over the last thirty years of works from the best Murano glassworks such as Venini, Barovier & Toso, Salviati, Archimede Seguso, Carlo Moretti, Seguso V.A., V. Nason & C., etc.
Adequate packaging is guaranteed to reflect the artistic and economic value of the object, to be completed the day after payment.
