Title: "Without Center"
Description:
It seems as if this painting has lost its center – or perhaps never had one. The forms drift around each other, overlap, touch, then dissolve again. Nothing holds them in place, nothing arranges them clearly. And yet from this very thing a own, quiet logic emerges.
"Without Center" feels a bit like those moments in life when you don’t quite know what to hold on to. Thoughts run in different directions, feelings overlap, clarity remains elusive. But precisely in this apparent chaos there is something honest – something unfiltered.
The painting does not invite you to "understand" it. It wants to be felt. Perhaps it reminds us that not everything needs a fixed core to have meaning. Some things simply exist in the flux – open, fragmented, and yet whole.

Christoph Prein is an Austrian artist known for his abstract and contemporary works, mainly created with acrylic paints. Originally from St. Margarethen near Knittelfeld, Prein’s pieces are often characterized by a minimalist, abstract style and are carefully crafted from high-quality materials to ensure vibrant colors and longevity. In his art, he frequently incorporates themes such as identity, memory, and the exploration of human emotions, often pushing the boundaries between the visible and the invisible.
Prein’s approach to art is multidimensional, combining painting with elements of sculpture and installation. This unique style has earned him recognition both in Austria and internationally, with exhibitions across Europe, North America, and Asia. His works often invite viewers to reflect on the complexity of the modern world and the deeper aspects of the human experience.
For a painting with the dimensions 160 x 130 cm you need a stretch frame of size 150 x 120 cm and a depth of 2-4 cm.
You can either stretch the canvas yourself or have it stretched by an art craftsman or gallery.
This is a handmade original, signed by the artist on the back and dated.
High-quality, light-fast acrylic paints have been used on multiple layers of white, primed gallery canvas.
A varnish was also applied to protect the work.
This work is handmade and thus unique!
--- Authenticity certificate included ---
Beautify your private residence, law firm, practice, or office and upgrade your spaces in an elegant and stylish way.
When a person goes into his innermost depths, into a sphere that rarely comes to light, into a space that is mysteriously and hiddenly waiting to be discovered, tickled awake, also tormentingly propped up, then art is born.
