Tableau des maladies de Lommius; or Exact description of all the diseases that affect the human body, with their diagnostic signs and prognoses: a work serving as an introduction to the handbook for charitable ladies. New translation, by M. l'Abbé Le Mascrier. Paris: at Debure the elder, 1760. Pp. LIII, (3), 420, (4); cm. 17 x 10. Good copy, in order. Contemporary binding in full leather with a gilt-titled spine and ornaments; slight, natural browning internally; red edges. Headpieces and initials woodcut. At the terminal guard, an ancient handwritten ex-libris of Nicolas Thevenon, surgeon. Little is known about the author, Jodocus Lomimius (c. 1500–1564), except that he wrote important medical works and was the personal physician to Philip II.
